History

Clair Rylands is formerly of H M Inspector of Taxes, completing her Inland Revenue training in Cambridge and qualifying in Business and Finance at Anglia Ruskin University in 1984. Leaving the Inland Revenue in 1985, she has had 24 years post revenue experience in taxation and accounts. This has been gained in top twenty firms, such as Spicer & Peglar (now Deloittes), Chantrey Vellacott and DFK International in London.

After a number of years dealing with all aspects of personal taxation, she moved to the Media and Entertainment taxation department of Chantrey Vellacott, specialising in musicians, entertainers and celebrities. Working in the entertainment industry, she was asked to act as Financial Controller, for a music management company. Head hunted again, she later moved to Greenback Alan Chartered Accountants, specialising in the taxation of non-domiciled clients, super models and their agents.

In 1998 she relocated to Norfolk with her family and formed Kingfisher Tax Consultancy Ltd, offering accountancy and taxation services to an International client base.

When spare time allows, Clair lends a hand to habitat restoration projects on the River Wensum and is the official sponsor of the NACA Ketteringham's Costessey Point project.
